They have worked together for over twenty years: Dr. Frank Hofmann and Dr. Christoph Niemann, the dual leadership of otris software AG. After their academic career at the Ruhr University Bochum, they founded a successful company together with some of their former students.
Dr.-Ing. Frank Hofmann
is co-founder and CEO of otris software AG. He is responsible for the Enterprise Content Management business unit as well as the company’s sales and marketing. Dr. Hofmann studied electrical engineering and information technology at the Ruhr University Bochum. In addition, he completed an integrated period of study abroad at the National School of Electronics, Computer and Radio Engineering (ENSEIRB) in Bordeaux, France. During his doctorate, he was a pioneer in the realisation of one of the first tools for model-driven software development. Since then he is considered to be an expert in the field of ergonomically designed user interfaces as well as that of enterprise process support through software solutions.
Dr.-Ing. Christoph Niemann
is co-founder and CEO of otris software AG. He is responsible for the JANUS business unit as well as the company’s finance and personnel. Dr. Niemann studied electrical engineering and information technology at the Ruhr University Bochum. During his doctorate at the prestigious Chair of Software Technology with Professor Dr. Helmut Balzert, he was a pioneer in the realisation of one of the first tools for model-driven software development, which he subsequently developed to product maturity and has since been continuously developing.
